Well, its been whirlwind couple of days in Seoul. We have been to the royal palace, danced K-pop, visited Seoul Tower, seen Taekwondo and drumming performances, seen the future at Samsung D'Light and eaten every Korean meal we can think of ... but we are still wishing for more time. See you all tomorrow!!

On Monday we visited Jeil High School, our sister school in Gimhae. Jeil treated us to the most amazing display of traditional Korean Traditional music including Gayageum, a traditional quartet, opera and Samul nori. It was extremely impressive. After the music performance the two schools signed a cultural exchange agreement and then we went for some ice-breaker activities which were mobs of fun. We finished off the last hour with students painting traditional Korean paintings on wooden blocks, having lunch and just getting to know each other. A fantastic day was had by all. Above all, it was really great to meet in person the people we have been corresponding with for a year.
What a weekend it's been! We have been to Busan, Nampodong, Gwangan Bridge, the old fish markets and so much more. And that was just Friday!
on Saturday morning we went to Tongyeong. Tongyeong is, in my totally unbiased opinion, the most beutiful place that has ever been or ever will be. The 'Naples of the Orient' as they call it. We hiked Miruksan, viewed the Dogpirang, rode bikes around the marina resort and chretered a fishing boat to take us on a cruise around the 140 islands off of the coast of the city. It was wonderful! Yesterday my host family took me to the Lantern Festival in Jinju. I thought it was incredible as, as far as I know, Australia has nothing like it. While we were with the group for a while, we eventually decided to split off and find my host family, and spent most of the night listening to some unique traditional Korean music. (This is Sam's recollection, but the photos are from everyone)
On Tuesday we went to visit 유진's grandparents before going to upo wetlands in 창녕 (Ceegan)
Today my host sister 서현 and I went to her 할머니의 집 for breakfast and then we went to a 노래방 after that we went to an escape room with her classmate and it was so fun! For dinner we went to a restaurant and saw Vixx N😱 after dinner we went to a fountain show in Changwon and now we are watching a Korean movie (Aislinn) Today my host family and I went to their 할머니의 place for breakfast as it was Chuseok today. (Michael) today my host family brought me to visit their families. On the way to their grandparents' house, we stopped by a fish market and bought a few fish for dinner. (Joeun)
We went to Mungyeog to see the veiws that it has. There is a long scenic trail with buildings based off the Joseon Period, we started at Juheulgwan gateway and followed the path along the river to see structures such as Mungyeongsaejae open set and Gyogwijeong Pavilion. yesterday we went to 진주 where we rented 한복 and took photos before looking in the markets (Ceegan) We went to 칠불사 and stayed overnight. We had tea with the monks from the temple and drank the mountain water. I tried to befriend the many cats living in the temple. We had to get up very early in the morning for breakfast :( though it was very delicious! (Amber) The first is a picture of the sunrise I saw from the bus on the way to Seoul. I was very tired but the view was too pretty to ignore. The bus left at 6am and this photo was taken shortly after. The second photo is from outside Jinju castle during the lantern festival. It was a lot of fun to walk around and see lanterns and learn a bit of Jinju history. I especially liked the proverb lanterns. I tried a fortune game and was given free postcards for being the first foreigner to try 😂 (Tilly) 안녕하세요 선생님, today we went to the movies to watch a movie called the hit man's body guard and it was really funny 😂 Before the movie we went to the arcade and played games and I won a KakaoTalk Ryan plushy!! 😆 After the movie we went to Lotte Premium Outlet shopping centre and had lunch. The shopping centre was MASSIVE and was really cool to walk around it 😄 For lunch we had 떡볶이 and we also bought a smoothie 😋 Today was a lot of fun!! I experienced Korean arcade games as well as shops selling Korean movies, Cds, books and iconic characters. In the afternoon, we spent a lot of time in a Korean Dog and Cat Cafe-it was amazing. The cats and dogs are really cute and have interesting Korean names. A large dog fell asleep on me and I talked to the cats in Korean. Daegu was a really fun and interesting place and I am looking forward to returning there in a few days to experience a Video Game room and much more. 오늘 민경과 함께 쇼핑했어요. 우리 같이 빙수를 먹었어요. 너무 맛있었어요. (사진 많이 찍지 않았어요. 죄송합니다) Today we went to Windy Point to see the scenery
